MANHATTAN, Kan. – For the first time in program history, the Kansas State women's tennis program will be sending senior Karine-Marion Job to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Fall Championships on Thursday (November 4) in San Diego, California.

The tournament will take place at the Barnes Tennis Center and feature 64 of the nation's top collegiate singles players (32 men and 32 women) and 64 of the nation's top collegiate doubles teams (32 men's teams and 32 women's teams).

"I am happy to see how well KJ performs this week against some of the best players in college tennis," stated head coach Jordan Smith. "Like I mentioned before, this is a tough tournament to qualify for with only the top 32 players being selected from 12 regional tournaments in the country. Therefore, a lot of credit foes to KJ for being the first player in our program to get this far. She's been working hard to get herself here. I believe she's primed for another good showing if KJ continues her normal routine and great belief in her game."

Job competed at the ITA Central Regional in Iowa City, Iowa from October 21 to October 25 at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex. The Lyon, France native earned the ITA Central Regional Singles Runner-Up title after having a bye in the first round and defeating all her opponents to advance to the final round.

During the singles main draw bracket, Job took down Maria Berlanga from Tulsa (6-4, 3-6, 6-0), Barbora Pokorna from Iowa (7-5, 6-4), Morgan Cross from Arkansas (6-3, 2-6, 6-4), Indianna Spink from Arkansas (2-6, 6-3, 6-4) and Maria Titova from Kansas (6-4, 6-4).

The tournament will span over four days with the first day consisting of a round of 32 singles and 32 doubles.

Live scoring will be accessible on the app Tennis-Ticker as well as on the Tournament Central Page here when they are available.
