
Tickets for 2021 Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championships On Sale Monday

One of the Big 12’s most exciting championships will run from Friday-Sunday, May 14-16 at R.V. Christian Track and Field Complex.
MANHATTAN, Kan. – Tickets will go on sale for the 25th annual Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Monday, May 10, as Kansas State will play host to one of the Big 12's most exciting championships, Friday-Sunday, May 14-16 at R.V. Christian Track and Field Complex.
Single-day tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth, senior citizen and K-State students and will go on sale Monday at www.kstatesports.com/buytickets. Fans will be issued a digital ticket (print at home or mobile) and they can scan in and out throughout the day using their mobile ticket.
Tickets will be also available for purchase on a walk up basis on Friday beginning at 10 a.m., until 8 p.m., CT, Saturday from 9 a.m., to 7 p.m., CT then on Sunday from noon to 7 p.m., CT.
General public seating at R.V. Christian Track and Field Complex for the Championships will be limited to the west grandstand as well as in the south end of the facility via standing room only. Fans will be required to wear a face mask over their mouth and nose at all times in the facility.
The Big 12 Championships will be one of the top college sporting events this spring, as 14 of the 19 men's and women's teams rank among the top-40 in the latest USTFCCCA National Ratings Index, including Top 25 squads in No. 4 Texas women, No. 6 Texas men, No. 7 Iowa State men, No. 8 Texas Tech women, No. 14 Kansas men, No. 18 Oklahoma men, No. 22 Texas Tech men and No. 25 Oklahoma women.
In addition, the Championships will include numerous Olympic hopefuls as well as several members of The Bowerman Trophy (track's version of the Heisman Trophy) Watch List, including Texas' Tara Davis (No. 1 in the women's long jump and No. 2 in the women's 100-meter hurdles), Baylor's K.C. Lightfoot (No. 2 in the men's pole vault) and Texas Tech's Ruth Osoro (No. 1 in women's triple jump and No. 4 in women's long jump). Other Big 12 athletes who are No. 1 in their respective event include Kansas' Zach Bradford (men's pole vault) and Texas' O'Brien Wasome (men's triple jump) as well as nine others who currently post the No. 2 mark nationally.
In all, 62 athletes and relay teams rank in the Top 10 of their respective events heading into this weekend's action, including local athletes of interest – Kansas State's Helene Ingvaldsen (No. 10 in the women's hammer throw), Ashley Petr (No. 9 in women's discus), T.J. Shankar (No. 5 in the men's high jump), Jah Strange (No. 9 in men's triple jump) and Lauren Taubert (No. 4 in heptathlon).
Fans attending will also see improvements made to R.V. Christian Track and Field Complex, the home of the Wildcat track and field teams since 1973. The most striking of these improvements is the bright purple all-weather synthetic track, which was installed by Beynon Sports Surfaces in 2020. Also, there are banners surrounding the track that highlight K-State's four Olympic medalists (Thane Baker, Kenny Harrison, Erik Kynard and Austra Skuyte) as well as legendary track coaches Ward Haylett and DeLoss Dodds.
This will be the third time K-State has hosted the Big 12 Outdoor Championships and the first time since 2012.
