
K-State’s Entz Named to 2021 Preseason All-Big 12 Team

MANHATTAN, Kansas – Returning for a fifth season with K-State soccer, Brookelynn Entz has captured the attention of the league's coaches as she was selected for the 2021 Preseason All-Big 12 Team. This is the first time a Wildcat has been selected for the Preseason All-Big 12 Team.
A product of Newton, Kansas, Entz begins the 2021 season with 28 career, single-season or single match school records to her name including career goals scored (17), career assists (8), total career points (42) and goals in a single-season (seven, 2020).
During the 2020-21 season, Entz was named to the Senior CLASS Award All-America Second Team, United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region Third Team and All-Big 12 First Team. She set the the school record for goals in a Big 12 season (five). In total last season, Entz registered school records with seven goals and 15 points.
She ranked third in the Big 12 for goals per game with 0.54. She ranked sixth in the Big 12 for goals scored. She was sixth in the Big 12 for total points and points per game (1.15).
Entz tied her own school record for goals in a match with two in a pair of matches last season - at Iowa State on October 30 and at Missouri on March 28. She recorded at least one goal in two of K-State's three wins in the 2020 season.
In January of 2021, Entz became the first K-State player selected in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) Draft as she was selected in the fourth round with the 38th overall pick by Kansas City NWSL. She was also the first K-State player to be selected as a candidate for the MAC Hermann Trophy.
The Wildcats will play nine home matches during the 2021 season. Season tickets for 2021 are on sale now. K-State returns 18 letter winners and 85 percent of the goal scorers from 2020. The Wildcats also welcome in 14 newcomers for the 2021 season.
