Five-Match Homestand Continues for K-State with Memphis and FAU

MANHATTAN, Kan. – After a dominant 4-1 victory against Arkansas last weekend, the Kansas State women's tennis team returns to the court with home matches against Memphis on Friday (February 11) and Florida Atlantic on Saturday (February 12) at the Body First Indoor Tennis Center.
Friday's match will take place at 1 p.m., CT and Saturday's action will begin at 9:30 a.m., CT.
The Wildcats are currently 3-0 for the season after their win over Arkansas on February 5.
Five players boast undefeated records in singles play this spring, including 3-0 marks by freshman Florentine Dekkers and senior Maria Linares. Dekkers clinched the win against Arkansas with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Kelly Kellers at the third position, while Linares picked up a straight-set decision, 6-0, 6-4, over Indianna Spink in the No. 2 matchup.
Three others – freshman Dinara Alloyarova and seniors Karine-Marion Job and Anna Turco – also have undefeated singles' records. Alloyarova prevailed from the sixth position, also in straight sets, to hand K-State its third point of the day, 6-3, 7-5, over Arkansas' Laura Rijkers. Job, who ranks 51st in the ITA singles rankings, is 2-0 this spring and was leading her match at the No. 1 position against Arkansas before it was clinched.
The Wildcats earned the doubles point against the Razorbacks after getting wins from their No. 2 and 3 pairs.
Job and Linares took down the Razorbacks' Rijkers and Lenka Stara, 6-2, from the second position. The duo of Alloyarova and Turco defeated Arkansas' Keller and Spink in the No. 3 spot, 6-3.
Job and Linares, along with Alloyarova and Turco, each pushed their doubles record to 2-0 in the spring, while as a team the Wildcats hold a combined 6-1 record in doubles play.
