FROM THE COURT
HEAD COACH JORDAN SMITH
On the first weekend of Big 12 play…
"Obviously, not what we wanted to see from ourselves at West Virginia. It's been a tough season for us mentally, today I believe we showed there's a lot of fight left in the Wildcats. Fighting close with a top-10 team like Iowa State is proof of that. Our ladies just have to be committed to being the best version of themselves. They can do it!"
On ranked wins from Dekkers and Suarez…
"Massive effort by Flo and Vanesa to each pick up a ranked win. There's been doubt if they belong at their spots. Today definitely proved that they both belong with some of the best players in the Big 12."
