K-State Track to Honor Cliff Rovelto and Gold Medalists at Indoor Open House

K-State Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Travis Geopfert invites alumni, family and friends of the program to the Indoor Track and Field Complex on Friday (Oct. 25) for a special recognition of legendary former Wildcats coach Cliff Rovelto and Wildcat gold medalists Erik Kynard, Eugene Omalla and Tara Davis-Woodhall.

Starting at 5 p.m., alumni and friends of the track program are welcome to join the staff to honor Rovelto for his 30 years of dedication to K-State.

"His (Rovelto) commitment to K-State for more than 30 years is rare in this day in age in collegiate athletics. His accomplishments as a coach speak for themselves as he is simply one of the best coaches in NCAA and world history," Geopfert said.

During halftime of the homecoming game on Saturday, Oct. 26, against Kansas, Rovelto will be honored, as well as Wildcats gold medalists Erik Kynard ('13) and Eugene Omalla ('24) and assistant coach Tara Davis-Woodhall.
