K-State Adds to Signing Class
Nov 22, 2024 | Women's Golf
MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State head women's golf coach Stew Burke announced Friday an addition to the Wildcats' signing class as Thitaree (Keen) Visavapattamawan will join the squad in time for the 2025-26 season.
"We are delighted to have Keen join the K-State Family," Burke said. "We have always been impressed with her game and how she competes in numerous tournaments throughout Asia. She has a high ceiling and a lot of upside, and we look forward to developing her further into one of the top players in the country. Along with the two other signees, Stalee Fields and Casey Kang, this incoming class has the potential to not only improve our program but have careers as professional golfers after graduation."
A native of Bangkok, Thailand, Visavapattamawan is prominent on the amateur circuit in Asia. Her most recent victory was at the TKG IPGA Championship in May with a 54-hole score of 215 (72-71-71), while she also won the TJGGA Open Championship at 213 (73-74-66). She also finished in second place at the JAT-NB3 Elite Series (217), third (216) and fifth (218) in two different years at the Bangchak Champions Cup, and fifth place at the Bangchak Champions in October at 218 (75-74-69).
The Wildcats finished the fall season ranked 30th in the National Collegiate Golf Rankings. They kick off the spring season with the Puerto Rico Classic, February 2-4, at the Grand Reserve GC in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
