
K-State Places 15 on Fall 2023 Academic All-Big 12

MANHATTAN, Kansas – K-State soccer saw 15 student-athletes earn Academic All-Big 12, including two honorees with 4.00 GPAs in an announcement by the league office on Wednesday.
In its eight seasons of action, Kansas State has now received 100 Academic All-Big 12 citations including 89 first team honors.
K-State's 13 student-athletes on the Academic All-Big 12 First Team were: junior Adah Anderson, sophomore Jazmin Brown, sophomore Paige Dickson, graduate student Aliyah El-Naggar, sophomore Khaliana Garrett, senior Keila Gillispie, junior Kenzi Gillispie, sophomore Sophie Harlan, senior Porter List, sophomore Andra Mohler, senior Erin Morrissey, sophomore Sophie Simmons and senior Maddie Weichel.
Mohler and Weichel each were selected for the team with 4.0 grade point averages.
Morrissey garnered her third career honor, while Anderson, El-Naggar, Kenzi Gillispie and List collected their second career Academic All-Big 12 honor.
On the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team were: junior Lydia Myers and senior Kiran Singh.
To qualify student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 60 percent of her team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
