K-State Hosts BYU in Final Regular-Season Series

MANHATTAN, Kan. – In the final weekend series of the regular season, K-State will host Big 12 newcomer BYU in a three-game set starting Thursday at 6 p.m. at Tointon Family Stadium.
The middle game of the series is set for a 6 p.m. start on Friday while the finale will begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats currently tie seventh in the Conference standings and hold the third best RPI in the Big 12 at 37, following Oklahoma (16) and Oklahoma State (17).
Thursday marks the first-ever meeting between the Wildcats and Cougars in Big 12 action, while K-State holds a 5-4 edge in the all-time series dating back to 1971.

The ten-team field is now set for the upcoming Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, May 21-25, with Oklahoma securing the No. 1 seed in the event. The Sooners claimed the regular season title and will be joined by UCF, Cincinnati, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, and West Virginia.
