Bernat Battles on Day Two of NCAA Championship

CARLSBAD, Calif. – Kansas State junior women's golfer Carla Bernat cut one stroke off her first-round score on Saturday as she carded a 3-over par 75 during the second round of the 2024 NCAA Championship held at the par-72, 6,297-yard La Costa Champions Course at Omni La Costa Resort.

Bernat, who is at 7-over par 151 for the tournament, jumped seven spots into a tie for 92nd.

Beginning on the back 9, Bernat bogeyed No. 15 and quickly responded with a birdie on the par-3 16th. However, she closed out her first 9 with bogeys in Nos. 17 and 18. She also bogeyed Nos. 3 and 5 but ended her round on a high note with a birdie on the par-4 7th hole.

Texas A&M's Adela Cernousek took over the top spot on the individual leaderboard at 8-under par 136. The Aggies are also atop the team leaderboard at 11-under par 565.

Bernat will begin the third round of the 2024 NCAA Championship on Saturday with an 8:52 a.m. start off the 10th hole. Live results of can be followed by clicking here.
