
K-State’s Sides Named Big 12 Player of the Week

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Following a stellar week of play, K-State guard Taryn Sides collected her first career Big 12 Player of the Week honor in an announcement on Monday.
The sophomore from Phillipsburg, Kansas, came off the bench in both games to register 19.0 points on a .571 field goal percentage including a .588 three-point percentage, 8.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.0 blocks.
At Cincinnati on Wednesday, Sides carded her first career double-double with 17 points including a 4-of-10 effort from distance, a career-high 12 rebounds, four assists and a steal in 27 minutes of action.
Against UCF on Saturday, Sides registered her second 20-point game of the season with 21 points on 7-of-8 shooting, including 6-of-7 from 3-point range, six assists, four rebounds, tied her career-high with four steals and set a career-high with two blocks in 28 minutes off the bench.
For the season, the 2025 Big 12 Sixth Player of the Year candidate is averaging a career-high 10.2 points on a career-best .484 field goal percentage and a career-best .469 effort from long range. Her three-point percentage ranks second in school history for a season.
(14/13) K-State returns to action today, as the Wildcats visit (18/18) West Virginia for a 1 p.m. (CT), President's Day tip-off.
