May 23, 2025 | Men's Golf
MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Kansas State men's golf team added a piece to its 2025-26 roster with the signing of transfer Max Reynolds, head coach Grant Robbins announced Friday.
Â
Reynolds comes to K-State after spending the last two seasons at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee.
Â
"We are excited to add Max to our program," Robbins said. "He brings a great deal of experience at various levels of college golf and has shown vast improvement each and every year. The thing that impresses me the most about him is how consistent he was this year. He established himself as one of the top players in the country and is eager to prove himself at the Division I level. He is a tremendous person both on and off the course, and he will make an immediate impact on our team."
Â
Reynolds has ranked in the top 20 in the Division II National Collegiate Golf Rankings each of the last two seasons as he finished No. 20 in 2023-24 and No. 13 this past season. He helped the Railspliters to a No. 2 mark in the rankings two seasons ago and a No. 4 ranking in 2024-25.
Â
Reynolds put together a 71.74 scoring average over his two seasons at LMU thanks to 14 total rounds in the 60s, while he produced 17 top-20 finishes and eight top-five showings.
Â
A native of Doncaster, U.K., Reynolds was a PING DII Honorable Mention All-American in 2023-24 in addition to earning All-Southeast Region and first team all-conference accolades after producing a 72.14 scoring average. After recording a scoring average of 71.33 this past season, he also earned All-Southeast Region and first team all-conference honors with All-America selections pending.
Â
Reynolds began his NCAA career on a high note with three-straight top-20 finishes to start the 2023-24 season, which included a victory at the Cateechee Fall Invitational following a score of 15-under par 198. He also finished ninth in the 2024 Southern Athletic Association Championship.
Â
Reynolds' highest finish this past season was a pair of third-place showings when he carded a 1-under par 215 in the Citrus Intercollegiate and a 4-under par 212 in the South Atlantic Conference Championship. He finished his LMU career by tying for 19th at the NCAA DII South/Southeast Regional and 16th at the NCAA DII Championship with a score of 1-under par 215 at each event.
Â
Prior to transferring to Lincoln Memorial, Reynolds spent two seasons at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas.
Â
Reynolds joins a 2025-26 K-State men's golf signing class that also includes Oliver Toyer (Cambridgeshire, England) and Ville Virkkala (Espoo, Finland).
