Nine K-State Golfers Named to 2025 Spring Academic All-Big 12 Team

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Six Kansas State men's golfers in addition to three from the women's team were named to the 2025 Spring Academic All-Big 12 team, the conference office announced Tuesday.
The six men's players were the most by the program since 2017-18. The women's team has placed at least three members on the Academic All-Big 12 team every year since 2018-19.
The men's squad was highlighted by senior Kobe Valociek (master's of data analytics), who was one of only 10 K-State spring student-athletes that were nominated with a perfect 4.0 GPA. It was his third academic honor following his final year of college golf as the Peoria, Arizona, product also earned Academic All-Scholar team accolades from the Golf Coaches Association of America in addition to being an Academic All-District performer by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Valociek was joined on the team by junior Alex Lindstrom (psychology), freshman Erik Sabelström Homberg (business), senior JP Roller (management), senior Cooper Schultz (communication studies) and freshman Tyler Strong (business).
Junior Noa van Beek was joined by sophomores Julia Ballester Barrio (kinesiology) and Alenka Navarro (athletic training and rehab sciences) on the 2025 Spring Academic All-Big 12 team. van Beek and Navarro were honored for a their academics for a third time this season after previously landing on the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars Team and the CSC Academic All-District squad.
