LUBBOCK, Texas- The K-State women's tennis team suffered it's second conference loss on Sunday (March 8) against #34 ranked Texas Tech at McLeod Tennis Center. It marks the second ranked loss of the season, the first of Big 12 play, as the Wildcats previously lost to Clemson but defeated then-ranked #53 Minnesota on February 22.

In a high scoring match, freshman Sasha Kyselova and sophomore Chanel Rustemova came up just short at 5-7 to Ella Brownback and Polina Sleptsova in the no. 3 position. Similarly, while their match went unfinished, freshmen Varvara Bernovich and Diana Smolinska scored 5-6 in the no. 2 spot against Elena Daskalova and Mariia Hlahola.
