MANHATTAN, Kan. – Dee Kennedy earned this third All-American honor following a standout 2026 campaign, as the junior shortstop was tabbed to the ABCA/Rawlings All-America Third Team. The honor marks K-State's 42nd postseason All-America selection and 11th in the Pete Hughes era.
The NCBWA Co-District 6 Player of the Year earned All-American status on Wednesday as he earned Second Team All-American honors by the NCBWA and Perfect Game. Additionally, he received ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-Region honors.
This season, Kennedy was also named a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award, Dick Howser Trophy and Brooks Wallace Award, while garnering First Team All-Big 12 recognition, Midseason First Team All-America honors from D1Baseball and Perfect Game, along with five Player of the Week awards.
The Fort Worth, Texas product compiled one of the most dominant offensive seasons in K-State history, leading the Wildcats in nearly every major offensive category. He posted a team-best .357 batting average, .461 on-base percentage and .733 slugging percentage while collecting 79 hits, 20 home runs, 69 RBI and 70 runs scored. His 40 extra-base hits in 2026 ranks second all-time in the K-State single-season records, while his slugging percentage is good for fourth.
In 57 games, Kennedy recorded a team-high 19 multi-RBI games and ranked second on the team with 21 multi-hit performances, including four multi-home run games.
Kennedy finished his junior season with 17 doubles, three triples, a school-record 20 home runs and 22 stolen bases, becoming just the fifth player in Big 12 history to record a 20-home run, 20-stolen-base season. He is also one of only four players nationally to accomplish the feat in 2026.
K-State finished with a 30-27 overall record and an 11-19 mark in Big 12 play, securing its fourth consecutive 30-win season. The streak ties the longest run of 30-win seasons in program history and is the Wildcats' first since 1988-91.
