MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State shortstop Dee Kennedy earned First Team All-Central Region honors from the ABCA/Rawlings on Tuesday, as the organization announced its annual regional teams.
First Team All-Region selections across all eight regions are eligible for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors. The 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-America teams will be announced Friday, June 12, prior to the start of the NCAA Division I College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
Kennedy, who was recently named NCBWA Co-District 6 Player of the Year, adds another accolade to an already impressive 2026 campaign. His honors include semifinalist recognition for the Golden Spikes Award, Dick Howser Trophy and Brooks Wallace Award, First Team All-Big 12 honors, Midseason All-America First Team recognition from D1Baseball and Perfect Game, and five player of the week awards.
This season, Kennedy put together one of the most dominant offensive campaigns in K-State history, leading the Wildcats in nearly every major offensive category. He posted a team-best .357 batting average, .461 on-base percentage and .733 slugging percentage while tallying 79 hits, 20 home runs, 69 RBI and 70 runs scored.
His .733 slugging percentage ranks fourth in program history for a single season. Kennedy also recorded a team-high 19 multi-RBI games and ranked second on the team with 21 multi-hit performances, including four multi-home run games.
The Fort Worth, Texas product finished his junior season with 17 doubles, three triples, a school-record 20 home runs and 22 stolen bases, becoming just the fifth player in Big 12 history to record a 20-home run, 20-stolen base season. He is also one of only four players nationally to accomplish the feat in 2026.
