Erwin, Harris Added to Rowing Coaching Staff for 2026-27 Season

Both women are 2026 graduates, four-year members of K-State Rowing
MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State women's rowing head coach Kennedy Felice announced on Tuesday (September 15) the addition of two graduates to her coaching staff, Ellie Erwin as assistant coach and Lorelei Harris as a graduate assistant coach for the 2026-27 season.Â

"We're very excited to get Ellie and Lorelei added to our staff," Felice said. "They have been part of our program for years now, where they had a significant impact during their time with K-State Rowing. We're looking forward to seeing how they continue to push our program forward as they step into these new roles. They both are incredible people who know how to work hard, genuinely care about our athletes as people, and understand what it takes to be successful in this space."Â Â

Erwin, a native of Walton, Ken., spent four years on the rowing team from 2022-26. During her senior year she earned a silver medal in the 1v4+ at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) Championship and finished 4th at the Big 12 Championship with the 2v4+. During the 2025 season she was part of the 2v4+ that secured a silver medal at the Big 12 Championship. Â

"I am excited to help this group of athletes grow and push the program forward," Erwin said. "This is such an amazing opportunity to give back to the team and sport that gave me so much."Â

Erwin's freshman year in 2023 she raced in the 3v8+ that saw continual success including claiming the Kansas Cup with a win over Kansas in the Sunflower Showdown and a gold medal at the SIRA Championship. Her efforts in the classroom led to being part of the Academic All-Big 12 Team all four years.Â

Harris was on the K-State rowing team for four years, acting as a team captain during the 2025-26 season. Harris was also part of the 2v4+ to earn silver at the Big 12 Championship in 2025. During her career she raced in two boats that defeated Kansas in the Sunflower Showdown and earned multiple medals including a silver and bronze medal at the SIRA Championship in 2024 and 2025.Â

"I'm excited for this opportunity to be involved with the team from a coaching perspective," Harris said. "I can't wait to see the progress this group will make throughout the year."Â Â

Harris, from Spring Hill, Kan., was named to the 2026 CSC Academic All-District Team and was a three-time Academic All-Big 12 Team honoree.Â

"My staff and I are all products of our program. It means a lot to work with people who see the value that K-State and our team can have on an athlete's college experience," Felice added. "We all have lived this life and now we have the privilege to coach an incredible group of young women navigating those same experiences.

The Wildcats enter their second season with Felice at the helm along with assistant coaches Beth Damman and Lindsey DeVreugd.
