CAREER: A community-college transfer that joined the program prior to 2012 and played sparingly that season before becoming a starter as a senior in 2013.

2013 (Click Here for Game-by-Game Stats): Played in all 13 games with starts in the final 11... Registered a career-high five tackles against Iowa State, while he recorded a career-best 1.5 tackles for loss at Texas... Helped K-State win its first bowl game in 11 years.

2012 (Click Here for Game-by-Game Stats): Played in nine games as a reserve defensive end, finishing the year with seven tackles... Had two stops against Kansas and had one in five other games... Carded a half tackle for loss at TCU.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Played two years at Cerritos College... Registered 21 tackles, including nine for loss and six sacks as a sophomore in 2011... Also broke up two passes and recovered a fumble... Posted 20 tackles in 2010 with four TFLs and 1.5 sacks.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Dominguez High School in Compton, Calif., where he earned all-league honors as a senior... Finished with 45 tackles, nine sacks and an 86-yard interception return for a touchdown... Added two receiving touchdown on offense... Also played on the volleyball team.

PERSONAL: Alauna Finau was born July 13, 1992, in Compton, Calif... Son of Sina and Leaura Finau... Older brother, John, signed at K-State, but played collegiately at New Mexico State... Cousin David Moala spent one year at Arizona State before transferring to Cerritos College.
