CAREER: A talented safety who has earned All-Big 12 accolades all four years, becoming the first four-time all-conference player in school history... One of just four defensive backs in Big 12 history to earn all-conference honors all four years with at least one first-team designation... Tied for third in school history in career interceptions, ranks second in career interception-return yards (221) and tied for fourth in career interception-return touchdowns (2)... Ranks 23rd in school history in career tackles and eighth in career unassisted tackles... A member of the first senior class to go to four-straight bowl games since the 2003 senior class.

Started the first 10 games of the year before an injury sidelined him for the final two regular-season contests... Returned to help lead K-State to its first bowl victory in 11 years... Ranked 14th in the Big 12 but third among defensive backs with 6.8 tackles per game... Also ranked 10th in interceptions with three, including a Big 12-best two he returned for touchdowns... His two pick-sixes were tied for second nationally... First pick-six of the year went for 32 yards against Louisiana, while his second was a 43-yarder at Texas Tech... Saw a streak of 35-straight starts snapped at Baylor... Tied for third in the Big 12 and tied for 10th nationally with five interceptions... All five of his picks were in Big 12 play, which was a league best... Became first Wildcat since at least 1989 to have interceptions in four straight games as he did so against Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa State and West Virginia...Was very active against the Sooners, making three stops, including one for a loss, and recovering a fumble to go along with his pick... Set a season high with 11 tackles against the Jayhawks... Made six stops at Iowa State, while his interception was at the goal line to halt a potential Cyclone scoring drive... Tied for fifth on the team with 58 tackles, including one for a loss, while he picked off two basses and broke up five others... Began the season with five tackles against Eastern Kentucky, including one for a loss of 10 yards on the first play from scrimmage... Came back with seven tackles against Kent State... Made five stops against Missouri and intercepted a pass on the first play of the game, becoming the first Wildcat to open a game with an interception since 2007... Followed that up with five tackles at Texas Tech... Made three tackles and broke up two passes against Oklahoma... Totaled six tackles and recorded his second interception at Texas... Made one tackle and broke up two passes against Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl.

Started 12 games and totaled 74 tackles, four for losses, three interceptions, three pass breakups and two fumble recoveries... Finished the season second in the Big 12 in tackles among freshmen, earning Second Team All-Big 12 honors from the league's coaches and Phil Steele... Also received votes for Defensive Freshman of the Year honors from the Big 12 coaches and honorable mention All-Big 12 accolades from the Associated Press... Was the first true freshman in school history to earn all-conference honors from the league's coaches... His 74 tackles were two shy of entering the top five list for a freshmen in school history... Started the final 12 games of the regular season and carded six or more tackles in eight of the last nine contests... Registered a career high 12 tackles against Oklahoma State, including two for a loss, while wrapping up eight ball carriers against both UCF?and Baylor... Had seven stops vs. both Texas and North Texas, while picking off two Longhorn passes and one Mean Green pass... HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner at quarterback and defensive back for Junction City under head coach and father Randall Zimmerman... Was 144-of-221 for 1,920 yards and 25 touchdowns as a senior in 2008, while rushing 133 times for 1,046 yards and 18 scores... Led the Blue Jays to a 13-0 record and the 2008 Kansas 6A State Championship... Scored all three of the Blue Jays’ touchdowns in the state championship... Named to the Wichita Eagle Kansas Top 11 team... Named first team all-state in 2007 and 2008, as well as a honorable mention in 2006... Also lettered two years in basketball and baseball.
