Bramlage Coliseum
In keeping with the tradition established by Nichols Gymnasium (1946-50) and Ahearn Field House (1950-88), Bramlage Coliseum (1988-present) has given Kansas State a deafening, winning environment.
While carrying on the tradition, Bramlage Coliseum has also pointed K-State in a new direction. The Wildcats now play in one of the most beautiful and modern facilities in the country. In more than 30 seasons, it has played host to some of the biggest crowds in the history of K-State basketball, a program that is accustomed to playing in front of packed houses.

Men's Basketball
Fans have helped make Bramlage Coliseum one of the most intimidating environments in all of college basketball. K-State has won nearly 73Â percent of its home games in its history, including 74Â percent since moving to Bramlage Coliseum, dubbed "The Octagon of Doom" due to the eight sided shape of the building.
K-State has posted a 417-145 (.742) all-time mark at its current home, including an emotional 81-77 win over Purdue (led by alumnus Gene Keady) in the facility's debut on Nov. 26, 1988. The program's 417 wins at Bramlage Coliseum are the most at any home venue for the Wildcats, having eclipsed the 378 at Ahearn Field House (1951-88). In 2012-13, K-State tied both the record for highest winning percentage (16-1; .941), also set in 2010-11, as well as the mark for most wins in a single season (16), also set in 2008-09. The team posted a 15-1 mark in 2022-23, which was the highest win total since 2013-14.
The Wildcats have collected a 217-65 (.770) record at home over the past 17 seasons (entering the 2023-24 campaign), including a 95-53 (.641) mark in Big 12 play. In all, the program has earned double-digit victories in 27 of its 35 seasons in the arena, including a streak of 18 straight seasons from 2001-02 to 2018-19.
Wins over Top 25 teams have also been a regular occurrence at Bramlage Coliseum since its opening with 46 ranked opponents falling to K-State, including 20 Top 10 opponents. Four No. 1 teams have been defeated during the arena's history, including No. 1 Missouri in 1990, No. 1 Texas in 2010, No. 1 Kansas in 2011 and No. 1 Oklahoma in 2016.Â
The school has ranked among the top 35 in attendance 11 times in the past 18 seasons, including finishing 35th in 2018-19 and fourth in the Big 12 with an average of 10,640 fans. The team ranked among the top-25 in highest percentage capacity at 87.2 in 2022-23. Nine of the program's Top 10 attendance averages have come since 2006-07.
The Wildcats also play regular home games at Kansas City's T-Mobile Center and Wichita's INTRUST Bank Arena.
Women's Basketball
In 19 straight seasons, Kansas State has finished in the top 35 nationally among NCAA Division I women’s basketball attendance leaders. Affectionately known as the "Purple Palace," the Wildcats have lost only 20 non-conference games over last 20 plus years in Bramlage, going a sterling 165-20 (.892).
The Wildcats finished the 2016-17 season ranked 15th in the nation for attendance by averaging 5,136 fans per game at Bramlage Coliseum. The 92,454 total fans in 2016-17 marked the sixth-highest total in program history.
In the 2011-12 season, K-State was selected as the Big 12 Conference’s "Pack the House" champion for the second straight season and one of 33 winners among NCAA Division I schools across the nation. K-State drew a season-high 12,528 fans to its Feb. 4, 2012 game against eventual national cham- pion Baylor. This was the highest attended women’s game in Bramlage since March 31, 2006 when K-State hosted the WNIT Final in front of a sell-out crowd of 13,340.
The Wildcats have finished among the top-10 in the national attendance rankings four times, checking in with a school- record fifth-place finish in 2002-03 (which included 11 games with 8,000 or more fans in attendance) and then notched a pair of eighth place efforts in 2003-04 and 2004-05.

Ice Family Basketball Center
Thanks to the generosity of K-State donors and fans, a longtime dream was realized on October 5, 2012, when 600-plus former players, donors and friends gathered to dedicate the $18 million Ice Family Basketball Center.
The permanent home for K-State men's and women's basketball, this facility serves as a major development resource for the teams and individual player growth as well as a recruiting tool that will complement K-State's unparalleled game-day atmosphere and world-class student-athlete experience.
The Ice Family Basketball Center, which was 100 percent privately funded with no tax dollars or university funds used, provides for the daily needs of Wildcat coaches and student-athletes and has amenities that are unsurpassed at a national level.
The completion of the facility is a milestone towards the vision of being a model intercollegiate athletics program, while it is also the cornerstone of providing a world-class student-athlete experience for the men's and women's basketball programs, both of which boast a proud heritage of success.
The building is equipped with two practice courts, coaches' offices, locker rooms for both teams and coaches, player lounges, a theatre-style team film room, a 2,500-square foot weight room, a sports medicine center with a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy facility and an atrium lobby with viewing deck.
The approximately 50,000-square-foot facility was designed by the world-renowned sports architecture firm Populous of Kansas City, Mo., and built by MW Builders, a national construction firm with offices in Manhattan and extensive experience in the state of Kansas, and blends a modern glass and steel structure with the tradition of K-State limestone on the exterior.
