No. 5 Oklahoma entered Manhattan undefeated at 7-0, outscoring their opponents 353-136 during a dominant start to the 2019 campaign. Texas was the only team to play the Sooners close, as OU edged the Longhorns (34-27) in the annual Red River Shootout.
K-State knew the challenge that awaited them, and OU set the tone with early leads of 10-0 and 17-7. The Cats didn't flinch.
You see #PoundTheStone referenced frequently by the Cats. It was on full display against the Sooners in front of a packed house at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The K-State faithful were out in full force and eager to do their part in hopes of an upset. They got their wish and the Cats didn't disappoint, picking up a thrilling 48-41 victory to give Chris Klieman a signature win in his first season in the Little Apple.
As the Cats get ready to travel to Norman for the 2020 matchup, we take a look back at some of the images, videos, stats, social content and postgame reaction from K-State's biggest win of the 2019 season.

Undefeated But In For a Fight In Manhattan

Big Day for QB1
Skylar Thompson put up big numbers in the win, throwing for 213 yards while scoring FOUR rushing touchdowns on the day.

The Special Teams Effect
You can't take down one of the top teams in the country without solid play in all three phases. K-State got just that against the Sooners, with Blake Lynch and Devin Anctil leading the way.
Lynch connected on a pair of field goals (35 Yards, 37 Yards), while Anctil averaged over 53 yards per punt.
Eric Gallon and Ross Elder also contributed to the special teams efforts. Gallon forced a fumble on a pooch kick in the third quarter, and Elder recovered the fumble to set the Cats up with great field position. K-State cashed in on the opportunity with Thompson's fourth rushing score of the day, giving the Cats a 41-23 advantage.

Ground and Pound
K-State finished with 213 rushing yards in the win. James Gilbert rushed for more yards (105) than Oklahoma (102) did as a team, while both Gilbert and Joshua Youngblood had rushing scores on the day.

Fans Locked In For All 60 Minutes
The scene was intense, as K-State built a 48-23 lead with less than 13 minutes remaining.

Down To the Wire, The Tension Built
OU didn't go away, scoring the final 18 points of the game to pull within seven points.

Your Wildcats Have Beaten No. 5 Oklahoma!
For the first time since 1996, K-State had earned a home win over the Sooners.
What can you say about the resolve of our guys? I'm so proud of the players and coaches. We told them before the game that we belong on this stage and told them to continue to believe. Even when we were down 10-0 and 17-7, I saw a sideline of guys who felt like they really had a chance to win the football game and stay in the football game against a great, great football team.Chris Klieman
That was a crazy moment. That's something that I'll truly remember forever, being a senior and being able to beat a highly-ranked team at home the way we did. There's so many things going through your head, but it's something special.Adam Holtorf
