FROM THE HEAD COACH
K-State Head Coach Colleen Corbin
On what she saw on Cincinnati's early goal…Â
"We knew that set pieces for them would create dangerous opportunities and unfortunately we didn't own the moment and they were able to capitalize."
Â
On the Cincinnati defense limiting K-State to nine shots…Â
"We knew that they were going to be combative, especially in the midfield, and as a result we were going to have to use the width to cause problems offensively. There were a lot of moments where we needed to value possession of the ball more and expose them in the areas we knew we could be dangerous. Ultimately, we weren't good enough on the day and needed to be better in executing our game plan."
Â
On what she is looking for in the final two weeks of the season…Â
"Grit. An edge. Pride in our identity and execution of the game plan. We have the opportunity to play in front of our fans one last time on Friday night and to decide what mark we will leave for the seniors on this season."
