Shade enters his first season as a graduate assistant at K-State. Shade played one season with the Wildcats after transferring from Springfield College. He graduated with a degree in education.Â

Played four seasons at Division III Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts ... As a sophomore in 2018, earned ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Region and NEWMAC All-Conference honors ... Posted a career average of .310 with 16 doubles, four triples, six home runs and 49 runs batted in ... In his all-region sophomore campaign, he produced a slash line of .331/.413/.494 with eight doubles, four home runs and 23 RBI while scoring a single-season program record 49 runs ... Hitting in the leadoff spot, drew 17 walks and stole 32 bases in 2018 and finished his career with 46 steals ... Career-high four hits at Coast Guard (April 8, 2018) and four steals vs. Elms (April 25, 2018) ... Hit .333 in five games in 2020 before the season was cut short, going 6 for 18 with six RBI ...
