Signed as an undrafted free agent in the Seattle Mariners organization ... Appeared and made 16 weekend starts … Went 4-4 with a 5.65 ERA (46 ER, 73.1 IP), striking out 68… Walked 37 and opponents hit .259 against him … Voted All-Big 12 Tournament Team … Matched a program single conference tournament game record after punching out a season-high nine in the Cats’ victory over Kansas in the Big 12 Championship (May 26) … Made season debut at Stephen F. Played for the Alaska Goldpanners of the Alaska League ... Appeared in six games (four starts) and posted a record of 3-0 with a 2.07 ERA (6 ER, 26 IP) with 36 strikeouts and 11 walks ... Struck out a season-high 11 hitters over 4 2/3 innings in his last outing on July 14 ... Did not allow an earned run in four of six outings, including a stretch of 13 scoreless innings while earning back-to-back wins on June 21 and June 30 ...
