- Ismael Massoud was born May 6, 2000 in Madrid, Spain… Parents are Hany Massoud and Alicia Rodriguez-Barrera… Legal guardian is Ayesha Hoda (stepmom)… Has four siblings (Sofian, Zakariah, Qasim, Aminah)… Mother, Alicia Rodriguez-Barrera, played college basketball at Houston and was a starter for the Cougars as a junior and senior in 1996-97 and 1997-98… Brother, Sofian, is a sophomore quarterback at Hampton.
- Offered by as many as 24 schools out of high school with his finalists being Harvard, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Rutgers and Wake Forest.
- Played for PSA Cardinals and head coach Terrence “Munch” Williams on the EYBL circuit, averaging 7.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per game... Played alongside current NBA players Cole Anthony (Orlando Magic), James Bouknight (Charlotte Hornets) and Tyson Etienne (Atlanta Hawks).
