- At the Tyson Invite (2/13-14/26) he ran in the 800 meters with a time of 1:51.74.
- During the DeLoss Dodds Invite (1/30-31/26) he ran in two events, the 800 meters for the first time at 1:50.65 in 6th place and the mile with a time of 4:12.37 in 4th place.
