COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Played two years for the Conquistadors for head coach Bob Majeski as both a wide receiver and tight end... An honorable mention All-Jayhawk Conference tight end in 2011 as he caught 37 passes for 465 yards and one touchdown... Also rushed nine times for 54 yards and made six special teams tackles... Played in all nine games as a freshman, hauling in three passes for 21 yards and rushing 31 yards on a fake punt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered three years for the Mustangs under head coach Dan Grizzell... Led team to a 13-0 record and a 2007 Kansas 8-Man Division I state championship as a sophomore... Played in both the Kansas 8-Man and Kansas vs. Nebraska all-star games... Enjoyed the best year of his career as a senior in which he caught 32 passes for 429 yards and nine touchdowns, while carding 116 tackles and picking off five passes... Also lettered four years in basketball and track... Earned a 4.0 GPA and was the class valedictorian.
