CAREER: Played in 50 games over the span of four seasons, serving as the primary holder on field goals/extra points over those four years, while split punting duties in 2020 and serving as the primary punter in 2023.

2023: Played in every game as the primary punter, ranking sixth in the Big 12 with a 41.35 average en route to All-Big 12 Honorable Mention accolades... Held a 42.65-yard average against Big 12 opponents, ranking fourth in the conference... Forced 24 fair catches on his 52 punts (46.2%)... Had a career-high two punts of 50 or more yards at Texas Tech and Texas, the former of which he carded a career-best four punts that landed inside the Red Raider 20-yard line... Booted a career-long 69 yard punt against UCF... Registered a 30-yard rush on a fake punt in the Pop-Tarts Bowl against NC State, the longest fake punt run by a Wildcat since at least 1989... Also held for all field goal and extra points attempts... Earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors.

2022: Saw time in all 14 games as the holder on all field goal and extra point attempts... A First Team Academic All-Big 12 performer.

2021: Served as the primary holder in all 13 games... Punted one time on the year, a 45-yarder in the Texas Bowl win over LSU.

2020: Shared punting duties throughout the entire season... Punted 24 times for a 39.0-yard average with three landing inside the opponent’s 20-yard line and two that traveled at least 50 yards... Forced 14 fair catches on his 24 punts... Had a career-high average of 44.5 yards against Arkansas State, which featured a season-long punt of 54 yards... Also had a 52-yarder at TCU... Landed three punts inside opponents’ 20-yard line... Helped K-State rank first in the Big 12 in net punting (39.2)... Earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played quarterback and punter at Marysville under head coach Dustin Heuer... Named a first team all-state performer as a senior in 2017 by the Topeka Capital-Journal and Wichita Eagle, while he was named one of the top 11 players in the state of Kansas by the Kansas Football Coaches Association (KFBCA)... Named the 3A Sports in Kansas Player of the Year and was the 2018 Shrine Bowl East MVP... Led the Bulldogs to a 13-2 record in 2017, which included a trip to the state championship game... Threw for 3,165 yards and 31 touchdowns in 2017 to go along with 994 rushing yards and another 14 scores... Earned second team all-state accolades from the Topeka Capital-Journal and Wichita Eagle as a junior... Also a two-year letterwinner in basketball, helping the Bulldogs win a state championship in 2016.
 
PERSONAL: Jack Blumer was born August 9, 1999, in Manhattan, Kansas... Son of Steve and Deb Blumer... Obtained his undergraduate degree from K-State in elementary education in May 2022, while he is currently pursuing his master’s degree in curriculum and instruction.
