Carded a season-high two tackles on kickoff coverage in the Big 12 Championship against TCU, including one he combined with his older brother, Seth, for the takedown... A Second Team Academic All-Big 12 performer.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Clear Brook under head coach Lupe Florez... Totaled 29 receptions for 560 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior... Also played quarterback, throwing for 1,565 yards and eight scores over the final two years of his career, while he rushed for 300 yards on 63 carries over his junior and senior seasons... Earned first team all-district honors as a wide receiver during his junior year, a season in which he was named the team’s offensive MVP... Played with current Wildcat safety Colby McCalister... Also played basketball and competed in track and field.
PERSONAL: Shane Porter was born June 30, 2001, in Houston, Texas... Son of Mark Porter and Amy Thompson, both of whom attended K-State... Father, Mark, was a kicker for the Wildcats from 1985 to 1988... Has four siblings, Seth, Brook Thompson, Kayson Shelton and Madison Shelton... Older brother, Seth, is also a wide receiver for the Wildcats... Majoring in communication studies.
