Kenny Lannou is in his 22nd year overall in the K-State Athletics Department and his 17th overseeing the Athletics Communications Office.
As a member of the department’s senior staff, Lannou oversees all operations of the athletics communications office, video, broadcasting and social media departments, while also leading the overall public and media relations planning strategies of the athletics department. He also is the department’s liaison with Learfield, serves as the sport administrator for track and field and women's tennis, and oversees the department’s Hall of Fame process and selection while also serving on various institutional and Big 12 public relations committees.
A member of CoSIDA and the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), Lannou has earned numerous awards for his work. In 2016, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023, his staff was honored by the FWAA with its “Super 11” distinction which honors the best 11 SID departments in college football. Lannou came to K-State as Assistant SID in 2003 before being promoted to director in 2007.
A 2001 Baylor University graduate, Lannou began his professional career in 2001 as a Media Relations Assistant at Auburn University before being named the Assistant Sports Information Director at Northwestern State University in 2002.
Lannou is married to the former Susan Haug and the couple has a son, Easton, and daughter, Lauren.
