Fritz Earns 100th Career Win with Sweep of Oklahoma

Fritz is the fastest in K-State history to earn her 100th career victory, taking just 134 matches to accomplish the feat. She is also just the third coach in Wildcat history to surpass the 100 win mark and the second in the modern era.
“For us as a program it has never been about winning,” said Fritz about the accomplishment. “I have been fortunate to have been surrounded by talented coaches and players. I am very proud of the tradition we are establishing here at K-State.”
Leading the Wildcats on the floor was junior Sandy Werner and sophomore Rita Lilliom. The duo each tallied 10 kills, with junior Joy Hamlin trailing with nine on 14 total attempts and a .571 hitting percentage. Sophomore setter Stacey Spiegelberg dished out 39 assists and is just one away from 500 for her career.
