Mansfield Signs Carter for 2026 Season
Feb 04, 2026 | Volleyball
MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State head volleyball coach Jason Mansfield added to the 2026 recruiting class with the signing of Chandler Carter.
Carter, a 5-foot-7 libero hails from Spring, Texas, and was a three-year letterwinner at Klein Collins High School, where she also ran track for the Tigers.
"Chandler is the definition of a student-athlete," Mansfield said. "In the classroom, she excelled, graduating high school in just three years. On the court, she is a dynamic athlete—fearless and lightning quick on defense—who continues to develop her all-around game as a libero. Chandler gets better every time I watch her play, and we're excited to welcome her to K-State this fall."
At Klein Collins, Carter was a two-time First Team All-District honoree for the Tigers. She compiled over 1,100 digs to go along with 798 kills and 150 service aces. In the classroom, she was awarded Academic All-State honors for her excellence off the court.
"Kansas State stole my heart with its emphasis on culture, character, and competitiveness," Carter said. "The coaches and team were so welcoming and supportive, and I knew I could grow as a player while building real relationships in a program with a strong culture and vision for success. It felt like home the second I stepped on campus."
She is the daughter of Amanda and David Carter and has one sister, Savannah. Carter intends to join the pre-med program at K-State.
