Tennis Prepares for Texas Two-Step

The Wildcats (2-6, 0-1 Big 12) will play in their second Big 12 Conference match of the season when they tangle with the Bears (8-6, 3-1) on Sunday at the
Baylor opens a six match home streak by hosting the Wildcats and has won three of the last four. The Bears, ranked No. 25 in the latest national poll, are 3-1 in Big 12 play, losing their first match in the conference in two years at
Baylor’s lineup yields four players with national rankings, led by two-time All-American and Big 12 Player of the Year Zuzana Zemenova (38). No. 52 Zuzana Cerna has 18 singles wins for the Bears and freshman Lenka Broosova (67) leads the team with 21 singles wins this season.
K-State will play its second night match of the season when they square off with TCU on Monday at 7 p.m. The Horned Frogs will face No. 5 California on Saturday before hosting the Wildcats. TCU has won three of its last four matches.
The Horned Frogs have three nationally ranked individuals No. 37 Ana Cetnik, No. 84 Nina Munch-Soegaard and No. 104 Anna Sydorska. Soegaard and Sydorska are both 10-2 in dual play this season and Sydorska team’s with Cetnik to form the No. 7 doubles team in the nation.
The Wildcats travel to Fresno State next Thursday and close a five-match road trip with Oklahoma (March 31) and Oklahoma State (April 1).
