Two K-State Matches to be Nationally Televised on ESPNU

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Kansas State volleyball team is set to make two appearances on ESPNU during the 2016 season, the Big 12 Conference office announced on Friday morning. The Wildcats are one of seven teams that will make multiple appearances during the season.

K-State’s nationally broadcasted matches will be on Wednesday, October 12, when the Wildcats travel to Lawrence, Kansas, for the Dillon’s Sunflower Showdown against in-state rival Kansas and on Wednesday, October 26, when the team travels to Ames, Iowa, to take on Iowa State. Both matches are slated to begin at 6 p.m. CT.

This is the second-straight season the team will play a match on ESPNU, with last season’s lone match on the ESPN network coming against the Texas Longhorns from Bramlage Coliseum.

The complete TV schedule for all K-State volleyball home matches will be announced later this month.

The Wildcats, who open the season on August 26 against Arizona in Hawaii, return 11 letterwinners from last year’s NCAA Tournament team. K-State is aiming for its third-straight trip to postseason play, which would be a first for the program since making 10 consecutive trips from 1996-2005.

Single-match tickets are on sale now. This season features several exciting promotions including Craft and Draft night and four exclusive t-shirt ticket packages.
