MANHATTAN, Kan. –
Registration is now open for this year’s Junior Wildcat Clinics, as announced
by Kansas State head volleyball coach Suzie Fritz.
The first of the two youth camps will take
place Saturday, February 25, at Ahearn Field House and run from 9 a.m. to 12
p.m. The camp is open to young athletes from kindergarten to fifth grade, as of
fall 2017, and is $45 to attend.
The camp is designed to introduce the
fundamentals of volleyball to young athletes with skills being introduced and
incorporated in fun and interesting ways. The clinic also provides players an
opportunity to learn from the K-State coaching staff and players in small group
and team settings. The camp includes three hours of skill instruction in passing,
setting, serving and digging as well as limited instruction in attacking and
blocking.
Pre-registration, along with payment, is
required. Check in will begin at 8:30 a.m., on February 25 at Ahearn Field
House.
The second Junior Wildcat Clinic will take
place Saturday, June 10, at Ahearn Field House.
Camp participants can register and find more
information at www.wildcatvolleyballcamps.com.
