MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Kansas State men's golf team will conclude the fall portion of its schedule this weekend at the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational held at the par-72, 7,096-yard Steelwood Country Club in Loxley, Alabama.
The two-day tournament will consist of an 8:30 a.m., start time both days, with 36 holes being played Saturday and the final 18 holes on Sunday.
K-State is looking to follow up on its successful showing at the Big 12 Match Play Tournament two weeks ago, an event the Wildcats entered as the No. 10 seed but finished in sixth place.
"We are looking forward to playing Steelwood this week," coach Grant Robbins said. "It's a great golf course and the members and staff put on a first class event, making this a fantastic experience for the players. The guys are playing well and are looking to finish the fall off strong."
K-State's lineup will feature seniors Jeremy Gandon and Roland Massimino, juniors Jacob Eklund and Ben Fernandez, and sophomore Kyle Vance. Senior JC Campbell and freshman Will Hopkins will compete as individuals.
The Wildcats will be joined in Alabama by Indiana, Kennesaw State, Kentucky, Mississippi State, North Alabama, Rice, Richmond, South Alabama, Southern Mississippi, Wake Forest and Wofford.
