IN THEIR WORDS
K-State Head Coach Bruce Weber
On Cartier Diarra's performance…
"You would think that a guy that played major minutes for a team that advanced to the Elite Eight that he wouldn't be so tentative, but I'm happy he finally broke out and got to the basket tonight. I still think he should've dunked a few of those. He got going and that was great to finally see."

On Penn…
"They are a very disciplined team, very much like Loyola Chicago last season. They led Kansas by 16 in the NCAA Tournament, so they are a very talented team. They won at George Mason, then beat Lafayette by a pretty good margin (who had just beat LaSalle). They are good. They are a very well-coached, veteran team. They are good offensively and I think in the Top 10 defensively last year."

"They had trouble getting here. They had an ice storm in Philadelphia and they had to break up their travel party and some of the guys came in today. That's a pretty gutsy performance (against Northern Iowa) considering those issues. I told the guys this is just like an NCAA Tournament game. The maturity, the experience we have been talking about with our guys will be a big emphasis for this game against a probable NCAA Tournament team."
