Registration Now Open for 2018 Wildcat Volleyball Camps

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Registration is now open for 2018 Wildcat Volleyball Camps, which includes Junior Wildcat, All-Skills, Elite and Team Camps, announced by Kansas State head volleyball coach Suzie Fritz.
Each camp is run by the K-State volleyball coaching staff, offering instruction for athletes of all levels and held on the campus of Kansas State University.
Junior Wildcat Camp is held on two dates, May 5 and June 9, and will offer three hours of skill instruction in passing, setting, serving and digging. Small group and team play opportunities will be available with instruction provided by K-State staff and players. The cost of the camp, which is designed to introduce the fundamentals of volleyball to young athletes, is $45.
The All-Skills Camps offer comprehensive instruction for athletes of all ability levels (grades 6-12) in skill development, offensive and defensive team systems along with specialized position sessions and tournament play. The camp includes 12 hours of instruction over two days and includes a camp t-shirt and photo. The first camp is June 11-12 with second camp running July 8-9.
Athletes that reside on campus will receive one night in the dorm and breakfast, lunch and dinner during camp and on-campus transportation for $295. Participants that commute will receive lunch and dinner meals during camp for $255.
The Elite Camp offers a more competitive instruction in the same areas for athletes in grades 9-12 who have the desire and ability to play at the collegiate level. Limited spots by position are available for the Elite Camp.
Elite Camp is scheduled for July 8-9 and, similar to the All-Skills Camps, offer a commuter ($255) and resident ($295) option. Resident campers will stay in campus dorms with breakfast, lunch and dinner meals during camp while commuters will receive lunch and dinner during camp.
Team Camp will be held July 10-11 at the KSU Rec Center and will include coaches' education sessions, team instruction and tournament play. Coaches will receive three to four hours of instruction with the K-State coaching staff while athletes will have four to five hours of coaching in offense, defense and transition. Following the training sessions, players will have the opportunity to participate in a competitive tournament.
Enrollment is limited to 12 teams and participants will receive a camp t-shirt. Cost is $100 per player with a preferred minimum of 8-10 team members. Coaches are complimentary with a minimum number of team members.
