Coffman Named to Google Cloud Academic All-District Team

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State track and field senior Morgan Coffman was selected to the Google Cloud Academic All-District First Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) the organization announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Coffman was selected as one of 11 individuals on the NCAA Division I District 7 Google Cloud Academic All-District First Team, selected with a 4.0 GPA in Management and Life Sciences.

The award comes after Coffman was named to the Academic All-Big 12 team for the third time in her career, all of which she was nominated with a 4.0 GPA. Coffman was also named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team in 2017 and 2018 and recipient of the Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award in 2018.

While at Kansas State, Coffman has provided to the track and field team letter winner honors in 2017 and 2018, and most recently placing fourth in the Heptathlon at the 2019 Big 12 Outdoor Championships in Norman, Oklahoma. Coffman then rounded out her collegiate career at the NCAA West Preliminary, where she placed 30th in the women's high jump.

As a first team selection, Coffman advances to the Google Cloud Academic All-America team ballot selected by CoSIDA, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected in June.
