
Heavy Rain Washes Out Final Round

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – The final round of the Dorado Beach Collegiate was called off Tuesday following a second consecutive day of heavy rainfall on the par-72, 7,112-yard Sugarcane Course at TPC Dorado Beach.
With the last two rounds cancelled, the Dorado Beach Collegiate goes in the books as a one-round tournament, with K-State finishing seventh after shooting 3-under par 285 during Sunday's first round.
Senior Jacob Eklund and junior George Clarke both shot 2-under par 70, and finished in a tie for 15th place. It was Eklund's second top-20 finish of the year, and Clarke's first top-20 finish as a Wildcat. Sophomore Will Hopkins and junior Kyle Vance, who competed as an individual, both finished tied for 33rd at even-par 72. Freshman Riccardo Leo finished tied for 48th at 1-over par 73, while senior Ben Fernandez shot 4-over par 76 and finished in a tie for 84th.
K-State is back in action Monday, March 2nd, at the Colleton River Collegiate in Bluffton, South Carolina.
