
K-State to Hold Purple-White Scrimmage, Announces Gameday Policies

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Fans will have their first chance to see the 2020 K-State volleyball team, as the Wildcats will host their annual Purple-White Scrimmage Friday evening at Bramlage Coliseum at 6:30 p.m.
Admission to the intrasquad scrimmage will be free to fans, who are reminded of new protocols that will be implanted to provide the safest environment possible under guidelines pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Seating
K-State will adhere to the 25 percent seating capacity to align with county guidelines. All seats will be general admission on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans should choose their seat location based on the recommended six-foot social distancing policies. Students are encouraged to sit in sections 23 and 24. and follow this policy as well.
Face Coverings
In accordance with City of Manhattan ordinance and Kansas State University policy, fans must wear face coverings over their mouths and noses in order to enter Bramlage Coliseum and continue wearing them inside the arena. Fans must provide their own face coverings, K-State will not provide face coverings.
Other Safety Measures
Hand sanitizing stations will be located throughout the arena, as well as signage to encourage social distancing. Arena employees will be required to wear protective gear and face coverings.
Ticketing
Only single-match tickets will be available for the 2020 season, as there will be no season tickets. All single-match tickets for the 2020 season will be available for purchase beginning at 8:30 a.m. the day prior to each home series through K-StateSports.com/tickets or on a walk-up basis on gameday. Due to capacity limitations and to avoid lines at the ticket windows, fans are encouraged to order digital tickets in advance. Debit/credit transactions are highly encouraged.
Admission
Doors will open 60 minutes prior to the start of the match. As part of our effort to provide the safest environment possible at Bramlage Coliseum, we are adjusting some of our gate entry procedures. To avoid handling each person's bag and expedite entry into the arena, fans will be asked to hold their clear bag and cell phones in front of them at chest level as they enter. With ongoing construction at the north end of Bramlage Coliseum, some entrances and concourses will be impacted throughout the season. For the month of September, only the southwest and southeast entrances will be open for public entry.
Elevator Access
Due to Covid-19 precautions this season and to keep areas utilized by the team, including the south tunnel leading towards the locker rooms, as sterile as possible, there will be no public access to the floor. Elevator passes will not be available to the ticketed public. Seating for guests with mobility impairments and their companions is available at the top of sections 3, 9, 13, 14, 17 and 22. Guests with limited mobility are encouraged to choose seats as far down from the top of sections as they feel comfortable to do so.
Parking
Parking in the East and West K-State Sports Complex lots open 90 minutes prior to first serve at Bramlage Coliseum and is free for home K-State volleyball matches. The North Campus Corridor improvement project will impact gameday traffic and parking lot access. Check kstatesports.com for the latest lane closures and altered routes.
Alcohol Sales
Alcohol will be available for purchase at select concession stands this season.
Concessions
Concessions will be available on the concourse when gates open prior to an event. No other outside food maybe brought into Bramlage. Fans are allowed to carry-in one commercially sealed, non-frozen, bottle of water or one commercial empty bottle of water, to be filled inside Bramlage. Water coolers will be available on the concourse to fill/refill bottles. As an additional safety precaution, water fountains in Bramlage will be shut-off. No other outside beverage or empty containers will be allowed into the Coliseum.
Merchandise
The K-State Super Store will be open on gamedays at their West Stadium store location. There will be no cash sales, only debit/credit transactions.
