MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State takes its four-game winning streak to Omaha Tuesday night, as the Wildcats take on the Omaha Mavericks at Tal Anderson Field for a 6 p.m. midweek tilt.

K-State (7-7) completed a 4-0 week that included a home victory over Nebraska and a three-game sweep of Central Connecticut State over the weekend.

The Wildcats will send right-hander Griffin Hassall to the hill for his second straight midweek start. Hassall will make his 12th career start after he earned the win against the Cornhuskers last Tuesday, throwing four innings of one-hit ball with five strikeouts.

The Cats and Mavericks (5-10) will meet for the first time since 2019, while K-State owns a 14-2 edge in the all-time series. K-State swept the home-and-home series in 2019 and has won the last five meetings overall.

A LOOK AT K-STATE
K-State makes a Tuesday trip to Omaha to take on the Omaha Mavericks at Tal Anderson Field at 6 p.m. ... The Wildcats finished a 4-0 week after a home sweep of Central Connecticut State over the weekend ... Winning seven of their last nine games, the Cats have climbed back to .500 after beginning the season 0-5 ... In the series with the Blue Devils, K-State won the opener on Saturday 6-3 before sweeping a Sunday doubleheader with scores of 5-3 and 5-2, respectively ... Cole Johnson and Dominic Johnson each hit .500 (6-for-12) to pace the K-State offense ... Dominic Johnson homered twice in the series while Cole Johnson hit his first home run of the year Sunday as part of a career-high four-hit day ... Omaha has won two of its last three games after trading walk-off wins with in-state rival Nebraska Sunday and Monday in a home-and-home series ... UNO began the season 2-8 and currently sit at 5-10 ... Earlier this season, UNO picked up a midweek road victory over No. 21 UCLA 9-4 ... The Mavs' offense is led by Mike Boeve who owns a .411 average with a team-leading nine doubles, three homers and four stolen bases ... During his six-game hitting streak, Mitchell is 9-for-20 (.450) with three doubles, a home run and three RBI ... Mitchell belted his second home run of the year Sunday against Central Connecticut State, equaling his career total over four years at Oklahoma ...
