
Wildcats Travel to Fort Worth for TCU Invitational

K-State will competed in doubles matches on the first day of competition
MANHATTAN, Kan.- The K-State women's tennis team travels South on Thursday (Oct. 26) for the TCU Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
Competition starts with three doubles matches starting at 6 p.m., CT with singles matches beginning on Friday (Oct. 27). Other competing schools include Big 12 conference members Baylor, BYU and Kansas along with Illinois, Indiana and Notre Dame.
The Wildcats last competed in the ITA Central Regional in Lawrence, Kan., on Oct. 12-15 at the Jayhawk Tennis Center, where the team competed in a combined 32 singles matches and 10 doubles matches.
The Wildcats recorded a 21-11 record in those singles matches, highlighted by junior Veronika Kulhava going 2-1 in the main bracket while defeating a ranked opponent Anna Supapitch Kuearum of Iowa State, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4).
Freshmen Charlotte Keitel and Tereza Polakova collected a 9-3 record during the tournament. Freshman Jillian Harkin and Keitel competed in four doubles matches, with three more wins as a duo.
Weather permitting, all matches will be played outdoors and streamed on play sight, available to watch with a free account.
