Gale, McCall Take Silver at NACAC U23 in Costa Rica

Gale represented Barbados, McCall the USA
MANHATTAN, Kan. – Juniors Kyle Gale and Kade McCall both won silver medals at the North America Central America Championships (NACAC) in San José, Costa Rica from July 21-23.
Gale, representing Barbados, competed in the 400 meter dash with a runner-up time of 45.80 seconds, behind D'Andre Anderson (Clemson/Jamaica) at 45.56 seconds.
He also ran in the men's 4x400 relay as the third leg, where his team earned bronze with a time of 3:04.33.
McCall, for the U.S, competed in the hammer throw for a second place distance of 64.69m/212-3, finishing less than a foot behind Kyle Moison (Auburn/USA) at 64.93m/213-0.
Sophomore Darian Clarke also competed for Barbados in the 200 meter dash, finishing sixth in 20.91 (1.7) seconds, his fastest time this season.
Gale had previously competed in the Central American and Caribbean Games at the beginning of the month, running in the 4x400 where his team finished second with a time of 3:02.12, previously the fourth fastest by country this year.
