"We are thrilled to officially introduce the 2025 class," Mansfield said of the 2025 signing class. "Each of these six student-athletes exemplifies the qualities we value at K-State: strong character, ambition, leadership, academic excellence, and a deep passion for volleyball. We can't wait to support them as they develop both as individuals and as players, reaching their full potential on and off the court."
The Cats (9-12, 7-5 Big 12) will take on No. 17 Baylor (17-6, 9-3 Big 12) Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Morgan Family Arena before hosting No. 18 TCU Friday. Both matches can be seen on ESPN+ and the ESPN app.
Alex Klukvin
Klukvin is a four-time All-League Sunflower Athletic Team honoree, helping Olathe Northwest to three Sunflower League Championship titles and third-place finishes at the 6A KSHSAA State Championships in 2021 and 2023. "Alex is a fierce competitor who gives her all on every play," Mansfield mentioned. "Her passion and focus for the game were evident to me the more I watched her, and her improvement over the past year has been phenomenal. Alex's ability to inspire and connect with her teammates is special and a quality we deeply value in our program. It's especially exciting to welcome another local player from Kansas – Alex is exactly the type of player and person we want in our program."
Additionally, Klukvin helped her club team to a third-place finish at the USAV Nationals 16U Division in 2023, as well as finishing fifth in the 17U National Division in 2024.
