Enoe, Men’s 4x400 Earn Second Team All-American Honors

All six Wildcats competing in Boston were named second team All-Americans
BOSTON, Mass. – The K-State track and field teams finished up competition in the NCAA Indoor Championship on Saturday (March 9) with five Wildcats named second team All-American at the TRACK at new balance.
Sophomore Sharie Enoe competed in the women's high jump, clearing a height of 1.75m/5-8.75 in 14th place.
Arkansas' Rachel Glenn won the event clearing 2.00m/6-6.75, a new meet and facility record.
After transferring from New Mexico Highlands University, a division II program, Enoe climbed to no. 5 in the K-State all-time top-10 during the KU-KSU-WSU Triangular on Jan. 12 when she won with a height of 1.88m/6-2. This season she won the high jump three times, also earning runner-up three times, including at the Big 12 Championships.
The men's 4x400 relay team—seniors Eugene Omalla, Kyle Gale and Jaimie Omalla and freshman Tavon Underwood—finished 10th with a time of 3:05.39.
Arizona State won the race with a time of 3:02.35, a facility record. Texas Tech was the only Big 12 school to finish ahead of the Cats at 3:03.37 in 4th place.
The relay team set the K-State school record on Feb. 3 during the DeLoss Dodds Invitational with a time of 3:04.84. This is the group's second fastest time after finishing runner-up in the Texas Tech Corky Classic at 3:05.72 (altitude converted 3:06.18).
After three days of competition, all six Wildcats competing in the Championship were named second team All-American.
K-State will kick off the outdoor season on Friday and Saturday (March 15-16) in Miami, Fla. at the Hurricane Invitational hosted by Miami (Fla.) at Cobb Stadium.
