Wildcats Add Four to 2024 Spring Volleyball Schedule

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The K-State volleyball team continues to build towards its 2024 regular season, as the Wildcats added a series of scrimmages this spring starting on Saturday, April 6, at the UMKC Spring Tournament.

The Wildcats will open the spring tournament at UMKC against Omaha, starting at 10:15 a.m. at the Swinney Recreation Center. Following the match with the Mavericks, K-State will face Tulsa at 11:30 a.m. and finish at 2:15 p.m. against Creighton. All matches held at the UMKC tournament are open to the public with free admission.

On Saturday, April 20, K-State will face former Big 12 rival Nebraska in Lincoln. The match against the Cornhuskers will not be open to the public.
The spring season is capped with a match against Missouri scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. first serve, on April 27 at the KC MAVS Club Facility in Lenexa, Kan., and is open to the public with free admission.

The Wildcats' spring roster currently boasts 12 returners from last fall, led by AVCA All-America Honorable Mention and unanimous First Team All-Big 12 selection Aliyah Carter. In addition to two redshirts from 2023, the Wildcats also added newcomer Jordyn Williams, who transferred from Kentucky and joined the program a semester early this spring.

K-State concluded its 2023 campaign 16-11 overall and 10-8 in Big 12 action in its first season under head coach Jason Mansfield. The Cats turned in a program record of five Top 25 victories, that included a historic sweep over reigning National Champion Texas at Morgan Family Arena.
