Myers Taken 16th Overall in Major League Volleyball Draft

Nov 24, 2025 | Volleyball

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State's Shaylee Myers was selected 16th overall by the Atlanta Vibe in the 2025 Major League Volleyball draft Monday afternoon.

A native of Lincoln, Nebraska, Myers was the eighth pick of the second round and was one of only three players from the Big 12 Conference to be drafted, alongside Arizona State's Colby Neal (Round 2, No. 13) and Arizona's Jordan Wilson (Round 3, No. 18).

Myers' selection highlights her standout 2025 campaign, that includes three Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week awards. She also ranks among the nation's Top 15 in both kills per set and points per set.

"I'm so incredibly happy and proud of Shaylee," third-year head coach Jason Mansfield said. "She has worked so hard these last four years to become a complete volleyball player and I'm so glad the hard work has paid off. She's played at such a high level this whole season for us and I'm happy that the Vibe saw that as well. She's a selfless, team first player that will add a ton of value in so many ways for them."

Myers becomes the second player in school history to be selected in the MLV, formally known as the Pro Volleyball Federation, joining former teammate Sydney Bolding, who was taken 11th overall in 2023.

"I'm so grateful for the chance to keep playing the game I love at the next level. Thank you to my parents, my family, everyone who's supported me, and the K-State coaching staff for believing in me and shaping me into the person and player I am today. I'm excited for this next step in my journey! Let's go Vibe!"

This season, the 6-foot outside hitter/opposite has delivered a dominant senior campaign as she leads the Wildcats with over 428 kills and 4.76 kills per set, ranking 10th nationally. Myers is also second in the league and 12th in Division I with 5.22 points per set.

A member of the 2022 Big 12 All-Rookie Team, Myers continues to climb the K-State record book in multiple categories. She is 41 kills shy of reaching 1,000 career kills, which would make her the 20th player in school history to achieve the milestone. She has compiled 11 matches with 20 or more kills during her career, including 10 this season, which ties third in school history.

K-State (16-8, 9-7 Big 12), which is receiving votes in the latest AVCA Coaches Top 25 Poll, returns to Morgan Family Arena to wrap up its 2025 home schedule Wednesday night against UCF (16-11, 7-9 Big 12). First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. and will broadcast on ESPN+ and the ESPN app.

Immediately following the match, the Wildcats honor five players as part of their annual Senior Day celebration. Seniors include Myers, Ava LeGrand, Aniya Clinton, Brenna Schmidt and Jordyn Williams.
