Wildcats Wrap Up Indoor Regular Season in Fayetteville

K-State will compete in one last two-day meet before the conference championship
MANHATTAN, Kan. – The K-State track and field teams hit the road for the last time in the indoor regular season on Friday-Saturday (Feb. 14-15) at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., at the Randall Tyson Indoor Track.

Events on Friday begin at 1 p.m. CT, with the men's 60 meter dash on the track and the men's pole vault at 1:15 p.m. On Saturday, the women's pole vault will start the day at 10:30 a.m. CT, with first running event at 10:45 a.m. with the men's 5,000 meters.

Both days of competition will be live streamed on SEC Network+, starting on Friday at 4 p.m. and on Saturday at 12 p.m.

During the Wildcats last home meet of the season, junior Gary Moore Jr. broke the men's weight throw school record, while others landed in the K-State all-time records.

Moore Jr. threw for 22.36m (73' 4 ½"), a new best by almost two feet, breaking the previous school record and his own facility record. Senior Shalom Olotu won the women's triple jump with a new personal best of 13.29m (43' 7 ¼"), the no. 6 best distance in K-State's records.

Sophomore Mikah Scott ran her best time in two races, the 60 meter dash final in 7.44 seconds, a new no. 5 in the top-10, and the 200 meter dash invite in 24.09 seconds, the no. 8 best time.

After taking a break, K-State will start the postseason at the Big 12 Championship in Lubbock, Texas, on February 28-March 1.
