MANHATTAN, Kan. – Junior Sharie Enoe will represent the K-State track and field program at the NCAA Championship on Friday-Saturday (March 14-15) in Virginia Beach, Va., at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
Enoe, a native of Petite Martinique, Grenada, will compete in the women's high jump on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT. The day two field events can be streamed separately on ESPN+ starting at 8:30 a.m. CT.
Throughout the season Enoe won three high jump events with clearances of 1.80m (5' 10 ¾"), 1.81m (5' 11 ¼") and 1.77m (5' 9 ¾"). She then finished the regular season as runner-up at the Tyson Invitational on February 14-15 and tied for 4th place at the Big 12 Championship on February 28-March 1.
During the Tyson Invite, she cleared her personal best height for the first time this season at 1.88m (6' 2"), tied for the no. 9 best height going into the NCAA meet. And at the conference meet she was just half an inch short of her best at 1.87m (6' 1 ½"). Currently, the best DI women's height is 1.98m (6' 6") from Rachel Glenn at Arkansas.
This will be Enoe's second trip to the DI indoor Championship, last season she earned Second Team All-American honors with a 14th place finish at 1.75m (5' 8 ¾"). During her freshman year at New Mexico Highlands, she competed in the DII indoor Championship clearing that same height of 1.75m in 5th place.
